You do not have to be Scottish, or have a partner. Single people and couples, young and not so young will all be made very welcome. The only things you will need to start with are a pair of lightweight, soft, flat soled shoes without heels. When you become more convinced, you will progress to wearing “ghillies”, a lightweight, relatively inexpensive, shoe specially designed for Scottish dancing.
