To get the most our of your dancing we would strongly recommend that you join Cindy's class on Sunday afternoons, starting on the 14th January 2018 click here for dates and further information
We are particularly keen to welcome and encourage beginners to Scottish dancing. Wherever you are in our area, you will be able to find a group or a class that will welcome you.
You do not have to be Scottish, or have a partner. Single people and couples, young and not so young will all be made very welcome. The only things you will need to start with are a pair of lightweight, soft, flat soled shoes without heels. When you become more convinced, you will progress to wearing “ghillies”, a lightweight, relatively inexpensive, shoe specially designed for Scottish dancing.
To help beginners to develop more quickly occasional workshops are held. These are invaluable for improving technique and are run by qualified Scottish dance teachers.
